Mass. Gas Prices Approach $2 Mark
Massachusetts gas prices are edging closer to the $2 per gallon mark.
AAA Southern New England reports Monday that self-serve, regular unleaded jumped 7 cents in the past week to an average of $1.96 per gallon.
Self-serve regular is now 34 cents more expensive than at the start of the year, but $1.18 less expensive that at the same time a year ago.
The price is 8 cents below the national average.
AAA found gas as low as $1.87 and as high as $2.09 per gallon.
