BU Takes Hockey Victory To The Streets

Another championship parade is set for Boston — this one for the Boston University hockey team.

Members of the squad that pulled off a dramatic come-from-behind victory over Miami University in the NCAA title game Saturday will board amphibious vehicles at noon Tuesday in Kenmore Square. The short parade will roll down Commonwealth Avenue and end with a rally at Marsh Plaza.

Down 3-1 with time running out, the Terriers scored twice in the final minute to send the game into overtime, then won it on Colby Cohen's overtime goal 11:47 into overtime.

It was BU's fifth national championship, and their first since 1995.

This program aired on April 14, 2009. The audio for this program is not available.
