Mass. Gets Socked By Another Rain Storm

Rain weary Massachusetts residents who have spent the better part of the past week drying out their basements after a three-day rainstorm are now dealing with another deluge.

Forecasters say as much as three inches of rain are expected to fall in some areas of the state Tuesday, just over a week up to 10 inches fell in some regions, flooding entire neighborhoods, forcing road closures raising rivers close to flood levels.

The violent rain started early Tuesday, causing water to pool on major roadways.

The National Weather service has issued a flood watch for the entire eastern portion of the state and flood warning for the Sudbury River, the Concord River in Lowell and the Charles River in Dover.
