It's a familiar match-up in the NBA Finals — the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers. Game 1 is Thursday night in Los Angeles at 9 p.m.

The Lakers, led by star guard Kobe Bryant, have scored at least 100 points in 10 straight games, but now they go up against the Celtics' defense.

Speaking to WBUR early Thursday, ESPNBoston.com's Peter May said the Lakers will not be able to replicate the offensive performance they had in the Western Conference Finals, in which LA averaged more than 113 points per game against the Phoenix Suns.

"The Lakers are in for a bit of a revelation based on the series that they just played, where neither side played defense," May said. "They ain't going to get anywhere near that against Boston."

This program aired on June 3, 2010.
