Listen: New Brandeis President Will Focus On Fundraising

Brandeis University has named a new president, and he's a familiar face in Boston legal circles. Frederick Lawrence was on the faculty of Boston University's law school for 17 years. Most recently, he was dean of the George Washington University Law School.

Lawrence will take over from Jehuda Reinharz, who retired at the end of this school year after getting into hot water over proposing to close the school's Rose Art Museum and sell its contents to raise money.

Lawrence joined WBUR's Morning Edition to talk his new appointment.
