Winter Storm Warning For Cape Cod
It's no day at the beach on Cape Cod.
The Cape and other portions of southeastern Massachusetts were being hit by a winter storm on Monday, causing numerous traffic accidents. The storm was expected to leave 4-8 inches on the ground before it was over.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning through midnight for Barnstable County.
Plymouth County and the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket were under a winter weather advisory.
Snow was also falling in downtown Boston, but only slight accumulation was expected.
Police responded to numerous crashes and spin-outs as state highways became slippery. There were no immediate reports of serious injuries.
