The suspect in this weekend's Arizona shooting will make his first appearance in court Monday. Six people were killed and Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) — the believed target of an assassination plot — remains in critical condition.

Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) joined Morning Edition on the phone Monday to talk about what this will mean for political life. Frank was hesitant to discuss details about any security changes for lawmakers.
