Power Restored To All Mass. Customers

Power has been restored to all Massachusetts utility customers six days after Tropical Storm Irene.

National Grid said Saturday night that power had been restored to the remaining 1,100 customers without electricity. Attleboro and Scituate were among the towns served by National Grid that had the highest number of remaining outages.

The state's second largest utility, NStar, said earlier Saturday that it restored power to the remaining 300 customers without electricity.

Residents have been frustrated by the utilities' responses to the outages. U.S. Sen. Scott Brown says it's unacceptable that people have gone days without electricity and says those people should get rebates.
