A Dubai-based businessman who got his master's in business administration from Boston University is giving the school its largest-ever donation.
Rajen Kila-chand, the chair and president of the multinational conglomerate the Dodsal Group, pledged $25 million to BU. The money will benefit the university's Honors College, which will be renamed for Kila-chand's parents.
"This is the most important donation in the history of Boston University," said Charles Dellheim, director of BU's Honors College. "Not only because it's the largest at $25 million, but because it provides us with an opportunity to do something really exceptional."
Kila-chand earned an MBA from BU and is on the university's Board of Trustees.
