Mass. Teacher Suspended Over Alleged Past

One of the top public high schools in Massachusetts has placed a teacher on leave following allegations that he appeared in pornographic movies.

Officials at Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden say Kevin Hogan has been placed on paid leave pending an investigation into allegations that he appeared in the movies prior to his hiring at the school and while he lived in California.

The school said in a statement that Hogan's references were "flawless" and a criminal background check came back clean.

Hogan has been head of the English department and crew coach since September. Mystic Valley was rated as the fourth-best public high school in Massachusetts by Newsweek magazine.

Hogan told WFXT-TV when asked about the movies: "I don't know what you're talking about."
