Man To Be Arraigned In 1986 Killing In Mass.

A man already in prison for murder will be arraigned for a second killing that's gone unsolved for 26 years. Christopher Fletcher is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in Worcester Superior Court in the rape and murder of Peggy Sue Calvillo of Fitchburg.

The 24-year-old Calvillo's body was found in Lancaster in 1986, and Fletcher told authorities in 1995 that he'd killed her. Worcester District Attorney's office spokesman Tim Connolly said Fletcher was recently implicated in Calvillo's death based on improved DNA testing.

Fletcher has told authorities he was involved in a dozen killings. But Connolly said Fletcher isn't a suspect in any other case.

Fletcher was convicted of killing Elizabeth Jane Salsbury in 1995. Prosecutors said he ambushed her after she returned home from work at a bar where Fletcher had been drinking.

This program aired on January 10, 2012. The audio for this program is not available.
