Mitt Romney's weekend announcement that Paul Ryan will be the GOP vice presidential candidate appears to have energized the Romney campaign. While John McCain's choice of Sarah Palin in 2008 may have been an important factor then, will Mitt Romney's pick have a comparable effect?

In the Brown-Warren race for Senate, the major issue last week was a state mailing of voter registration information to welfare recipients. The Brown campaign says those people are more likely to back Warren, and the mailings are the result of a lawsuit by a group chaired by Warren's daughter.

This program aired on August 13, 2012.
