Brown: Don't Punish Cabbie In 'Tracker' Incident

U.S. Sen. Scott Brown says a Martha's Vineyard cab driver who confronted a "tracker" videotaping Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren should not lose his taxi license.

In a letter Thursday to Oak Bluffs selectmen, Brown says Morgan Reitzas seems like a "regular guy" who was put in a situation that he didn't understand and allowed his emotions to get the better of him.

An online video of the confrontation showed the driver appear to knock the camera out of the hands of the tracker for the Massachusetts Republican Party.

Warren's campaign has stressed that the driver was not a campaign staffer.

Brown's letter contrasts with earlier comments from a GOP official claiming it was a "campaign aide" who assaulted and threatened the tracker and that Warren did nothing to stop it.
