Sandy Affects U.S. Senate Race's Final Days
ResumeWith the election one week away, a new poll shows the race between Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and Democrat Elizabeth Warren is essentially a dead heat. The Boston Globe survey gives Brown a slight edge, 45 to 43 percent.
Meantime, Tuesday night's fourth and final debate between the candidates will not take place. Sen. Brown pulled out Monday, citing "concern for the hardship faced by people in the path of Hurricane Sandy." Later in the day, Warren agreed.
The debate organizers — including WBUR — are negotiating to try to reschedule.
