Mass. Utility Crews Make Progress In Restoring Power

Utility crews have been making more progress in restoring power in Massachusetts.

As of noon Wednesday, there were about 90,000 customers still in the dark. That's down from about 400,000 at the height of Monday's storm. The two largest power companies say they expect to have most restored Thursday. (Outages: NStarNat. Grid, UnitilWMECO)

A spokesman for NStar said it hoped for full restoration by Thursday night.

National Grid said it expects to have three-quarters of customers restored by midnight Thursday and the rest by midnight Friday.
