Boston Teen Arraigned In Attack On MBTA Driver
Police have arrested one teenager in connection with an assault on an MBTA bus driver last weekend.
Police say more than a dozen youths attacked the 53-year-old driver early last Saturday, with some climbing on the bus and others trying to pull him out the window.
Eighteen-year-old Albert Galloway was arraigned Wednesday on several charges including assault and battery. Authorities say there were led to Galloway by a top from the public and by one of Galloway's own tweets, in which he posted "my hands hurt from last night."
Galloway pleaded not guilty and was held on $15,000 bail.
His lawyer said there is no proof he wrote the Tweet and that while her client was on the bus, he threw a punch in self-defense and inadvertently struck the driver.
