University Confirms Identity Of Overdose Victim

Officials say a woman who died of an apparent drug overdose after being rushed to the hospital from a Boston nightclub was a 19-year-old sophomore at New Hampshire's Plymouth State University.

PSU spokesman Bruce Lyndes says the family of Brittany Flannigan of Derry, N.H., confirmed her death to university officials.

Boston prosecutors have declined to release her identity pending autopsy results.

Lyndes said she was majoring in management.

In a statement, the university extends its condolences to Flannigan's family and friends. It says she was a familiar figure on campus and will be missed.

Boston police said they were called to House of Blues on Lansdowne Street after three people were rushed to the hospital after midnight Wednesday.
