Late Afternoon: Clouds thicken with temperatures near freezing.

Overnight: Snow begins, moving south to north between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. A coating of snow accumulation by dawn up to 2 inches. Higher amounts north of Mass. Turnpike and west of RT. 495.

Overnight temperatures holding steady.

Monday

Snow and sleet quickly turning to rain over Cape Cod.

Sleet and freezing rain continuing until mid-morning over northern Massachusetts.

Highs in the lower 40sF for Cape Cod.

Temperatures remaining in the 30sF for northern Worcester County.

Tuesday

Cloudy and raw for Cape Cod. Rain or snow shower possible with highs in the 30sF.

Metro Boston partly to mostly cloudy with temperatures in the mid 30sF.

Extended

Expect much colder temperatures during the mid week.
