FBI Seeks Public Help To ID Mass. Bank Robber

The FBI is seeking public help to identify a serial bank robber they nicknamed "The Brim Beanie Bandit," alleging he successfully stole from four banks and attempted to raid a fifth in less than two weeks.

The FBI describes the alleged robber as about 5-foot-seven, weighing 150 pounds and believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s.

They say the suspect has robbed banks while wearing a dark sweatshirt or jacket, black pants, black gloves and dark brown or black boots or shoes with a black and/or grey brim beanie cap.

Authorities say the Brim Beanie Bandit enters the bank, approaches the teller and either shows or leaves a note asking for money.

The FBI says the banks he robbed are in Quincy, Stoughton, Needham, Braintree and Boston's neighborhood of Dorchester.
