Arlington Bank Robbery Suspect Shot In Police Pursuit
Police in the Boston suburb of Arlington say a bank robbery suspect has been shot and wounded by officers pursuing him and a second suspect.
The injured man is hospitalized. Police said his injuries weren't believed to be life-threatening. The second man was arrested.
Police said the men allegedly robbed Leader Bank on Massachusetts Avenue Friday afternoon then drove away. Officers caught up with them a short distance away on Brooks Avenue.
Police Chief Frederick Ryan tells The Boston Globe the suspects were armed.
An officer, who wasn't shot, was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
