Patient Dies After Ambulance Crashes In Milford

Police say a patient being transported to the hospital has died after the ambulance she was in crashed in Milford.

The ambulance was en route to Milford Regional Medical Center at about 11 a.m. Tuesday when it was involved in a crash with another vehicle on Route 140.

The ambulance rolled over and came to rest upright on top of the guardrail.

Police say the female patient was picked up by another ambulance and taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

A paramedic in the ambulance was also injured.

No names were released and there was no word on whether either driver was facing charges.
