As of Jan. 1, 2015, there were 51 homicides in Boston this year.

NOTES: Boston Police may identify victims after initial public notification of the death investigation, and not make that victim name ID public on its website. Additionally, our list may differ from Boston Police reports as it does not include homicides that occurred before 2014, regardless of whether police declared the homicides during this year. Our list also doesn't include a July 31 domestic stabbing in which no charges have been filed.
