3 Killed In 2 Separate Boston Shootings

Three people were killed in two separate shootings Sunday night into Monday morning in Boston, police have said.

Just before 10 p.m. Sunday, police found a male victim deceased from apparent multiple gunshot wounds in the area of 1886 Dorchester Ave. in the city's Dorchester neighborhood. The victim, who's believed to be in his 20s, was not identified.

Then, at 2:44 a.m. Monday, police responded to the area of 92 Rosewood St. in Mattapan on a report of shots fired. Officers there found two victims, a male and a female, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims, believed to be in their 20s, were later pronounced deceased at city hospitals. Neither has been identified.

The Boston Globe reports: "Police said they believed the two shootings might be connected and both shootings were gang-related."

No arrests have been made in either shooting.

There have been eight homicides in Boston so far this year.
