Mass. AG Candidates Stockpiling Campaign Cash

The two Democratic candidates in the race to succeed Attorney General Martha Coakley are maintaining significant fundraising leads over the Republican hopeful.

Warren Tolman ended the first quarter of 2014 with nearly $563,000 in his account, compared to $365,000 for fellow Democratic hopeful Maura Healey.

Republican John Miller reported a balance of $53,750 at the end of March including a $50,000 loan he made to his campaign.

In the race to replace state Treasurer Steve Grossman, Barry Finegold reported nearly $416,000 in his account as of the end of March, compared to fellow Democratic candidates Deborah Goldberg, with more than $129,000, and Tom Conroy, with more than $53,000.

Republican candidate Mike Heffernan reported more than $52,000 in his campaign. He also loaned his campaign $50,000.

Coakley and Grossman are both running for governor.
