Sharon Woman Dies After Being Struck By SUV

A 44-year-old Sharon man is facing charges including motor vehicle homicide after police say the SUV he was driving struck and killed a 20-year-old woman who had been out jogging on Sunday afternoon.

Police said Monday that they also have cited Jeffrey Bickoff for allegedly driving with a suspended license, speeding, and a marked lane violation in connection with the death of Haley Cremer of Sharon.

Bickoff will be summoned later to appear in court. His driving license has been revoked. It is not immediately known if he has a lawyer.

Authorities said Cremer, a Simmons College student, was struck near the intersection of Hampton and Dogwood roads after stopping to talk with someone.

Cremer's uncle Steven Litner told The Boston Globe she was a selfless, supportive person whose death "shakes the boundaries of my faith."
