Quincy Livery Driver Denies Raping Woman
A livery driver from Quincy charged with raping a woman who got into his vehicle in Boston thinking it was a taxi has been ordered held on $35,000 bail.
Said Said pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges including aggravated rape, unarmed robbery and receiving stolen property.
Police say the woman flagged down what she thought was a cab early Sunday morning in the Seaport District and got in.
The woman alleged the driver took her to a secluded area, sexually assaulted her, and then stole her cellphone and credit cards. Police later determined that the vehicle was a livery car.
Said was arrested Tuesday.
His lawyer said in court that he denies the charges.
