As the Market Basket standoff continues about whether ousted CEO Arthur T. Demoulas should be reinstated, the ones suffering are the most vulnerable workers at the supermarket chain.

With sales at the company's 71 New England stores remaining at an all-time low, thousands of part-time workers will now be given few if any shifts next week.
