Voting is underway in Scotland this morning — with a very high turnout predicted as Scots decide whether to go independent from the United Kingdom.

And the world is watching — including Scots, or people of Scottish descent, in Boston.

In Jamaica Plain, in The Haven, which bills itself as the only Scottish restaurant in Boston, an informal ballot box for patrons is stuffed.

It's been out for about a week and had to be emptied once because Haven-goers filled it with over 500 ballots.

The owner of the Haven, Scotsman Jason Waddleton, will count and reveal the local vote tonight as the real votes are counted in Scotland.

After stopping in, WBUR's Morning Edition was given a sense of a how local Scots, including Waddleton, are leaning.
