Boston Man Sentenced For Forcing Teen Into Prostitution

A Boston man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for forcing a 15-year-old girl into prostitution.

Mark Pinnock was also sentenced this week in federal court to five years of probation after pleading guilty in August to a charge of recruiting and transporting a minor to engage in prostitution.

Prosecutors say that in December 2013 police responded to a Cambridge hotel where the 15-year-old victim told officers that she had traveled by bus from Baltimore to Boston. Authorities say pictures of her were posted online to solicit customers. While in Boston, the victim engaged in sex for a fee at two local hotels at the direction of the 23-year-old Pinnock.

Two other men are awaiting sentencing in the case.
