Gov. Charlie Baker is calling Tuesday's transportation headaches "unacceptable." He says he'll meet with MassDOT and MBTA to discuss the issues involved.

MBTA General Manager Beverly Scott says many of the problems can be blamed on record snowfall and cold temperatures, along with a lack of investment and an aging fleet.

Charlie Chieppio, principal and Chieppio Strategies, has written extensively about the MBTA and told WBUR's All Things Considered the transit agency has some big problems that the Baker administration is going to have to deal with. Listen to the full conversation above.

This segment aired on February 3, 2015.
