Westwood Man Charged In Murder-For-Hire Plot
Police have arrested a man they say offered an undercover detective $20,000 to kill a former business associate.
The Norfolk district attorney's office says 74-year-old Joseph Eosco, of Westwood, is being held on $130,000 bail on charges including solicitation for murder and illegal firearms possession.
District Attorney Michael Morrissey tells The Patriot Ledger that police received information that a man in Westwood was looking for a hit man.
An undercover detective posing as a hired gun made contact several times with the suspect, who allegedly offered $20,000 for the hit.
Authorities say the suspect also had guns for which he did not have a license.
The suspect was in jail and it could not immediately be determined if he has a lawyer.
The alleged target was unharmed.
