Incoming University of Massachusetts President Marty Meehan is defending the four-year, residential college experience.

WBUR's Fred Thys joins Morning Edition with a report on Meehan's visit Wednesday to the university system's flagship campus, UMass Amherst, where he answered questions from students and faculty members.
