Some of the most celebrated names in science and technology are today remembering a giant in the field.

Marvin Minsky, who helped found the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and designed several tools that shaped the world of robotics, died last weekend in Boston. He was 88.

Those who knew Minsky best are recalling not just his accomplishments, but also his character. WBUR's All Things Considered host Lisa Mullins spoke with a few former colleagues and friends.

This segment aired on January 26, 2016.
