Forecast: Seasonably Warm And Dry

High pressure centered west of the region will continue to control our weather through Thursday. This means our winds will be coming from a westerly direction and humidity levels will be in the comfortable range.

Come Friday, this high will slide east and allow for winds to turn more southwesterly. Temperatures and humidity will rise and a front will cause some showers and thunderstorms Friday night.

Interestingly, it will not cool down after the next round of storms. In fact, it will get hotter as the jet stream pulls northward and the upper level high pressure system strengthens. Temperatures Saturday through Monday may top 90 degrees, giving parts of the forecast area an official heat wave.

Today: Sunny and pleasant. Highs in the lower 80s.

Tonight: Clear, cooler. Lows 57-63.

Thursday: Mostly sunny skies. Warmer with a high of 87.

Friday: Partly sunny, more humid. Highs near 90. Chance for late day and nighttime thunderstorms.

Saturday and Sunday: Mostly sunny and hot. Highs both days around 90.
