Forecast: After A Gloomy Start Today, A Fine Stretch Of Weather Is Ahead

Today gets off to a gray and gloomy start, with a bit of spotty drizzle. Temperatures are in the 50s this morning with a raw breeze off the water, strongest at the coastline.

Later this afternoon high pressure will slowly build in from northern New England and begin a stretch of fantastic weather the rest of the work week and into the start of the weekend.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Matthew continues to bring incredible wind and rain to part of Haiti and Cuba as it churns in the south Atlantic. This is a slow-moving hurricane and will still be east of Florida later this week. This means we have plenty of time to understand if there will be any impact to New England late in the weekend or during next week.

Presently the models continue to bring the storm northward next week, but keep the bulk of the wind and rain well out to sea. As mentioned, our weather will be stunning with a warming trend the next several days.

Wednesday brings even more sunshine to the area with highs in the 60s. It will feel fantastic outside and be the perfect day to take your lunch in one of the many outdoor areas across the city. It will also be a nice day for a run or even a walk along the beach if you are able to do so.

Even warmer weather arrives Thursday when some areas will reach the lower 70s, a result of a mild flow and the still strong October sunshine.
