20-Year-Old Man Shot And Killed In Somerville Parking Lot

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed in Somerville on Saturday, law enforcement officials said.

Kevin Raymond, who was a resident of the city, was discovered shot in a parking lot on Canal Lane at 3:07 a.m., according to a press release published Saturday afternoon by the Middlesex district attorney's office.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The office's statement also included details about another fatal shooting that took place minutes earlier about two miles away in nearby Cambridge. It is unclear if the two shootings are related.

Somerville police, as well as state police detectives assigned to the district attorney's office, are investigating.
