Forecast: A Nice Weekend On The Way

Over the past several weekends the chance for showers has been in the forecast but we're going to remove that completely this weekend. I should put an asterisk next to the word completely as I can't entirely rule out a sprinkle Saturday but in general, we're looking at a dry weekend.

In addition to the nice weather, the length of daylight is now within a few minutes of its maximum of the entire year. The sunrise is so early that the light actually begins to show up on the eastern horizon before 3 a.m. This is one of the reasons why you hear the birds so early because they sense the light. This also means that the sun is incredibly strong. By 8 a.m. the sun is higher than it would be all day in the winter. Don’t forget the sunscreen as the cloudy weekends likely mean many of you aren’t as used to the sun as you might otherwise be this time of year.

Finally, be sure to water containers and your gardens in the coming days. I don’t see any rainfall for quite a while. Have a terrific weekend.
