Forecast: Warm Weather This Weekend

I've been talking about the fact the weather pattern looks very dry through the end of the month and today is one of the few exceptions. There are some showers in the forecast for today, but we are not looking at too much rain.

I was working in the garden yesterday and the first couple of inches of soil was very dry but there still some moisture deeper down. It's better to let some plants continue to build roots to chase the water deeper because this makes the plants stronger and more drought resistant.

Today showers are thanks to a cold front pushing through. I expect anywhere from a tenth of an inch to a quarter of an inch of precipitation. The showers will end sometime this evening and the humidity, which is a bit higher today, will fall back.

Thursday and Friday look like fairly nice days with temperatures still quite a bit above average on Thursday and around average Friday.

Presently the weekend looks pretty spectacular with a lot of sunshine and very warm temperatures into the 80s on Saturday and approaching 90 on Sunday with an increase in humidity. There are early indications that Monday may be very hot with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s.
