Walsh Seeks Pay Raises For Boston Public Officials

A group of city officials and private analysts agree that public officials in Boston need a raise.

Boston city councilors heard arguments Thursday on Mayor Marty Walsh's proposal to increase the maximum pay range for more than 20 positions.

It includes 4 percent raises for the mayor and city councilors. The Boston Globe reports that any changes, if approved, wouldn't take effect for several years.
