Forecast: Mainly Shower Free Today, But Still Humid

A continuous flow of tropical air is keeping high humidity in the region, and this is going to remain for the rest of the workweek. While there is a small risk of showers, Tuesday is a dry day and I think Wednesday starts dry as well.

There is a frontal boundary back to the west and eventually this will move eastward and bring a renewed chance for showers Wednesday afternoon and into Thursday. This next chance for showers will occur with all this moisture in the air and therefore there could be some small stream and urban street flooding.

Temperatures over the next several days are going to remain in the 80s over inland areas and upper 70s to near 80 across Cape Cod and the Islands. Friday looks like the warmest day of the next four, with temperatures in the upper 80s on that day.

This weekend we will see slightly drier air move into the region, but it's still going to be somewhat muggy. I really don't see a break in this pattern for the foreseeable future, so the theme is high humidity and the chance for showers into the first week of August. This doesn't mean you won't have a beach day, but that dry air with sunshine we had last week is not going to dominate the forecast for quite some time.
