Forecast: One Really Nice Day, But Many More Unsettled Ones Ahead

Today is going to be the nicest day of the next several days as we have wall-to-wall sunshine, lower humidity than we've seen and still-warm temperatures. I would say that this is a great beach day or a great day to just get outside and enjoy the summer weather. It seems like over the past several weeks it's been too hot or too humid or too wet for us to really enjoy this time of the year and things are quickly winding down.

The problem this weekend is that the humidity is going to be lurking just to our south and the divide between the drier air and the humid air will create an area of clouds and possible showers. I think that Saturday is our least favorable day and the day with the greatest chance for showers, whereas Sunday has a little more in the way of sunshine — less of a chance of showers — but still a lot of clouds.

As we head towards next week, the humidity will increase further and so will the chance for showers each day. I don't see a washout but I do see many days where showers will be in the forecast and temperatures are also going to be on the rise so it's going to become quite uncomfortable again.

This pattern could last through the month so prepare yourselves for lots of humidity. At least we won't go into a drought.
