Forecast: A Break In The Heat And Humidity

Yesterday was the 23rd time Boston reached and exceeded 90 degrees for the year and this puts this particular year in the top of the list of most number of 90-degree days ever. There's a chance that yesterday was the final day we will reach 90 degrees but the pattern continues to look rather warm overall so it's not out of the question we do it again before early October.

The humidity has fallen off dramatically and temperatures over the next three days will run in the 70s and even 60s on Sunday. This break from the heat and humidity won't last a long time, as by Monday afternoon the moisture will start to return and by Tuesday it's going to be oppressively humid once again.

There will be a few showers around this morning, but the trend is going to be for the clouds to decrease and for us to see some sunshine this afternoon, especially from Boston northward.

Skies this weekend won't be crystal clear and there will be some high cloudiness Saturday,  giving it a milky sort of look. On Sunday, a blend of clouds and sunshine will continue, but later in the day as the boundary between the dry and humid air starts to move near our location. Clouds may increase and this will lead us to a cloudy Monday.

Next week looks humid and quite warm. Temperatures will likely get back into the 80s and depending on how much sunshine we get will determine just how far into that range we go.

The bottom line is, enjoy the dry and cool weather this weekend as it may be a little while before it returns again.
