Forecast: Summer Humidity Is Back For A Day

Temperatures Tuesday started in the 40s; this morning we're starting near 70 degrees with a lot of humidity. It actually feels like a July morning.

After the rain Tuesday night, the ground is saturated. There may be showers again today, especially during the evening. Any showers this morning will push offshore. Highs will reach well into the 70s and if we get a few hours of sunshine, 80 is again possible.

A cold front will sweep this humidity out to sea overnight, leaving us with seasonably cool conditions for Thursday and Friday and into the weekend. Because this frontal system will be lingering close by, I do think that we will have to contend with some cloudiness today and tomorrow. The best chance for this cloudiness to ia affect he sunshine the most will be south of the Mass Pike.

After any showers today, it does look to me like we have a dry week ahead with, five to seven days of no rainfall. This will be a good opportunity to continue fall activities as well as do some early leaf peeping. It's still quite early for fall foliage, but if you're interested in seeing early color you'll have to go New England.
