Susan Hansen of Vermont Public Radio reports on Unilever's acquistion of Ben & Jerry's. The Anglo-Dutch multinational bought the socially conscious ice-cream company for 326 million dollars. Ben & Jerry's will operate as an independent subsidiary, with one Unilever member on its board. Unilever has also agreed to uphold the company's progressive ideals, but some critics wonder how long that will last.
