NPR's Lynn Neary talks with Edgar O'Hara, Professor of Spanish and Portuguese Studies at the University of Washington, Seattle, about Guatemalan author Augusto Monterroso's short story, The Dinosaur. The story is considered the shortest in the history of literature. The Dinosaur reads: When it woke up, the dinosaur was still there. Monterroso died last Friday at the age of 81.
