Best Buy Plans Movie Download Service
Electronics retailer Best Buy announced Tuesday it plans to start an online service that allows consumers to buy, rent and download movies and television shows. Best Buy has been watching DVD sales slide.

INSKEEP: Netflix has seen the future, and so has Amazon and iTunes, and now Best Buy is jumping into the crowded market for movie downloads. The country's biggest consumer electronics chain has been watching DVD sales slide, and today, Best Buy announced a joint venture with a company called CinemaNow. There's new software that would be built into devices sold at Best Buy stores, like TVs, computers and mobile phones that would allow you download DVDs, as well as TV shows and independent films.
