House To Take Up Bill To Ban Insider Trading
The measure would explicitly prohibit members of Congress, top aides and senior administration officials from using nonpublic information to trade. The Senate passed its version of the bill Thursday.

Congress knows it has to repair its image, so this is a step in that direction. The Senate passed legislation yesterday that bars members of Congress and thousands of other federal workers from trading stock on information they get from working on Capitol Hill. And in a rare display of bipartisanship, the Senate approved the bill by a 96 to three vote. The House is expected to take it up right away.
