Two unassuming guys dressed in suits, singing subdued original songs in close harmony with acoustic guitars, doesn't seem like a likely 21st-century musical success story. That is, until you see and hear Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan perform live around a single microphone. The two Los Angeles residents have extraordinary musical communication, and their songs really come alive onstage.

Pattengale and Ryan first got together in 2011, and distributed The Milk Carton Kids' first two albums by giving them away for free online. They've since toured constantly and appeared in the concert film Another Day Another Time, and are about to release their fourth album, Monterey. Here, they perform four of its songs live.
