In the mid-'90s, Marc Kinchen, better known as MK, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Music/Club Play chart with his songs "Always" and "Love Changes." Since then, MK has made a name for himself as a producer and DJ with a gift for remixes and a knack for matching perfect vocals to deep house.
Lately, MK has worked with a new team (singer Anabel Englund and producer Lee Foss) for a project called Pleasure State, and their songs have been welcomed as a part of house music's rebirth. Here, Jason Bentley sits down with MK to discuss his history, his new project and what sets him apart in today's dance-music world.
