NPRStudy: Spiders Know How to Diet

Researchers in the journal Science found that even predatory insects can manage to balance their diets. They offered wolf spiders, with different body types, meals of fruit flies. One group of fruit flies was high in fat, and a second -- presumably more slender group -- was high in protein. The wolf spiders that were high in fat always chose the protein. The high protein spiders chose fat.
